“I’m a proud Ngāpuhi Māori woman living in Brisbane. I’ve lived an interesting life with many challenges, but my faith in God has helped me believe in myself, pursue my dreams and achieve things I once only imagined. I cherish the wisdom and discernment that come with age, and I live with faith, grace and love. At 66, I love my life and the positive environment I now call home. Alongside my beautiful family, my loves include cooking, gardening and writing. I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle and embracing new experiences with gratitude and curiosity. Since February 2026, I’ve been writing my memoir and exploring my whakapapa, preserving my stories for my daughters, my granddaughter and generations to come.”
